Jungle Bolo Knife

Momentum is what its all about! The "Bolo" type profile of the Sheffield made Jungle Knife means the blade is end heavy. When in use this means more energy to use but more energy going into the cut, thus less swipes. This makes it ideal for "jungle" type use. In use this really does become aparent. I tried it out on evrything from Brambles to some inch thick Hazel. The 3/16" thick steel blade really does cut deeper per swipe. Small diameter Hazel was cut through cleanly several times. When compared to a normal machete the difference of the Bolo profile really becomes apparent.
The blade is made from a high carbon steel, it has a balnce point about 8.5" down from butt of handle. The tough sharp edge is ideal for chopping or clearing some scrub. The blade has a "blued" finish which I would imagine makes the blade highly impervious to water and the consequental rusting. A ruberised easy to grip handle finishes of the full tang blade.
